Altius Dental Upgrades Its Practice Management with Denticon to Deepen Access to Patient Care

At Altius Dental, our mission has always been to provide quality, compassionate, and accessible dental care, especially in rural and underserved communities across Texas. Today, we’re excited to share an important new step forward in that mission: selecting Denticon by Planet DDS as our enterprise practice management platform.

Why We Made the Move

Previously, Altius Dental was operating on a mix of legacy systems. While these systems served us, they posed several pain points as we grew:

  • Fragmented operations across different locations
  • Difficulty in maintaining real-time visibility of data
  • Challenges with continuity of care during internet outages or connectivity issues

We needed a more unified, modern, reliable platform. One that would allow all of our locations to operate in sync, improve efficiency, and ensure our patients get the same high standard of care no matter where they are.

What Denticon Brings to the Table

By transitioning to Denticon, we’ll gain a number of key advantages:

  • A cloud-based platform, centralizing operations and reporting across sites
  • Real-time data visibility, allowing leadership and teams to make faster, better decisions
  • Remote access capabilities, ensuring continuity even when internet connectivity is imperfect
  • Consistency and reliability across all practice locations

How and When We’ll Implement It

We won’t flip the switch everywhere at once. Our rollout plan is designed to ensure smooth transitions:

  • Phase 1 begins in Fall 2025, with our first location going live in October
  • Full deployment across all of our 30+ locations is expected by June 2026

This phased approach gives our teams time to adapt, ensures proper training and support, and helps us manage any challenges that arise without affecting patient care.
